New Partner at Crill Canavan

The partners of Crill Canavan are delighted to announce that Advocate Kathryn Purkis has been made a partner in the firm’s litigation department with effect from 1st September 2008.

Kathryn joined the firm in July 2005 and was admitted to the Jersey Bar in February 2008. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1991, and has retained her rights of audience in that jurisdiction. She is an associate member of Serle Court, a top-ranked chancery/commercial set, where she practised for many years before moving to Jersey. She is also a member of the Chancery Bar Association.

Her particular areas of expertise include general commercial work, civil fraud and asset recovery, jurisdiction disputes, contentious trusts litigation, and all aspects of contentious property work. However, she is also looking forward to getting involved in the business of running the firm and helping it move from strength to strength.
